Fairfield Church :: Kingston
Vision
Loving God, Loving one another, Loving the lost
Because we want to love God we prioritise understanding what he wants to say to us in the Bible. Therefore we plan a Sunday preaching programme working through the various books of both the Old and New Testament. We also make prayer to God a central feature of our meetings and our monthly prayer meeting is the most important part of our programme.
Because we want to love one another we prioritise our small groups which are the primary place for personal care. Therefore we have a programme of midweek groups tailored to meet each other’s needs. Our evening house groups are great places for learning from the Bible together, praying for one another and supporting others, and similar women’s groups meet during the daytime. We also organise a series of events throughout the year to stimulate friendships and have fun together: an Away Day, Sunday church lunches and social evenings.
Because we want to love the lost (as Jesus described them) we prioritise a range of evangelistic events at which our unbelieving friends feel at home and have the opportunity to hear the gospel explained in language that they can understand. We regularly run a Christianity Explored course so that people can investigate the evidence for and significance of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
