Loving God, Loving one another, Loving the lost
Because we want to love God we prioritise understanding what he wants to say to us in the Bible. Therefore we plan a Sunday preaching programme working through the various books of both the Old and New Testament. In addition we organise weekends away to understand the whole Bible’s teaching on a subject. In recent years we’ve thought about who God is, what church means, what difference the Bible makes to our lives, what did Jesus really accomplish and what does God’s Spirit do today?
Because we want to love one another we prioritise our small groups which are the primary place for personal care. Therefore we have a programme of midweek groups tailored to meet each other’s needs. Our Knowing God groups are great places for learning from the Bible together, praying for one another and supporting others. We also organise a series of social events throughout the year to stimulate friendships and encouragement in our Christian lives.
Because we want to love those whom Jesus described as lost we prioritise a range of evangelistic events at which our unbelieving friends feel at home and have the opportunity to hear the gospel explained in language that they can understand. Each term we run a Christianity Explored course so that people can investigate the evidence for and significance of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
